FAQ

How do I enrol at My Gym?

Enrolment is by term. Each term consists of structured weekly classes.
Fees are payable by Payme, FPS, bank transfer, cash or cheque.
A one-time registration fee is also required. Fees are not refundable once term has commenced.

What health and safety measures are in place?

The health and safety of your little ones are of primary importance.
Body temperatures are taken before entry to the gym. Those with a temperature above 37.5℃ are kindly requested to go home and reschedule the class.
Hands are sanitized before entry to the gym and after class as well.
Adults entering the gym floor need to wear a clean pair of socks.
In between classes, the gym floor is cleaned and equipment surfaces are disinfected.

When we rearrange our gym set-up every week, we clean and examine equipment for mechanical function and safety.

We also have a stringent illness policy to prevent the spread of illnesses. Children displaying any signs of runny nose, cough, illness or rash are asked to refrain from coming to class.
We reserve the right to request that children go home if they or the accompanying adults come to class unwell. They are welcome to schedule a make-up class when they are fully recovered.

What should my child wear to class?

Please dress your child in comfortable clothing.  Tees and shorts or sweat pants work well.  During class time, children need to be barefoot for safety and sensory stimulation.  Parents are required to wear socks.

What happens if my child falls sick?

Not a problem!
Please contact us to schedule a make-up class. We allow a number of make-up classes per term. Make-ups must be completed within the term; they cannot be carried over to the next term.

If you are unable to attend a make-up class, please let us know at least one day in advance. If you do not notify our staff regarding your absence of a make-up class, you will lose the option to reschedule that particular make-up class.

Can more than one adult come with my child to My Gym? Or can I bring more than one child to the gym?

Due to current social distancing measures, only children enrolled in a class may come to My Gym, accompanied by one adult. Exceptional circumstances may be considered.  Strictly one adult per child on the gym floor.

What if my child can’t walk yet?

Walking is not a pre-requisite.  In our Tiny Tykes class for 6-12 months old babies, the focus will be on allowing you to bond with your child while socializing with other babies and parents, in a crawl-friendly environment with soft-play equipment that is safe for your little ones.  The large floor space of our gyms is very motivating for crawlers to get moving, whether on their knees or on to their feet.  We introduce nursery rhymes, stretching and strengthening exercises, swings, and puppet shows while encouraging them to become comfortable in the company of others.  Some long-lasting friendships have been forged on our gym floor!

What is the medium of instruction?

Our classes are taught entirely in English.  We encourage the children to communicate in English although our teachers can also speak Cantonese and Mandarin to ease newcomers into their classes.

What happens when there is a black rainstorm or typhoon warning?

When Black Rainstorm or Typhoon Signal 8 is hoisted, all classes will be cancelled.  Classes will resume two hours after the warnings are lifted.  For classes cancelled due to Black Rainstorm or Typhoon signal No. 8 or higher, no refunds or make up classes will be arranged.
